James Collins

James “ Jamie” E. Collins, age 41, of Erie and formerly of Girard, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 24, 2016 at UPMC Hamot.

James was born in Dover, Delaware on January 5, 1975 son of Cynthia Graff Stubenhofer, Girard and A.N. Collins, TN.

He graduated from Girard High School in 1993 where he was an All-County Soccer Player. James graduated from I.U.P. in 2003. He loved Presque Isle. Jamie followed professional soccer and was a fan of Manchester United.

James is preceded in death by his grandparents Sam and Betty Collins and Sam and Phyllis Graff.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Lillian Grace, step father from age 7 Dale Stubenhofer of Girard, a brother Sgt.1st Class, Seth Collins (Bonnie) GA, two step sisters, Cheryl Palasziewski (Chris) Erie, and Gwen Stubenhofer FL, a step brother, Eric Stubenhofer (Cheryl) Waterford. James is further survived by his step grandmother, Kathleen Stubenhofer of Erie. His aunts Bonnie Kotyuk-Pierson (John) NC and Becky Morrison (Steve) Cranesville, his uncle, Howard Graff (Gloria) CA, and his cousins Nathaniel and Matthew Kotyuk as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, Girard on Saturday from 1-3pm.
