Jacqueline Wilcox

Jacqueline (Jackie) Dean Wilcox, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 16, 2018 at UPMC Hamot Hospital.    She was born on September 7, 1943, in Erie, Pennsylvania and was the youngest daughter of the late Richard A. and Geraldine G. Mileski.

Jackie was a graduate of Villa Maria Academy, Class of 1961, and St. Vincent School of Nursing.  She was a passionate person who cared for others.  She led a career as a Registered nurse at St. Vincent Hospital, Millcreek Community Hospital, Hamot Hospital, Fort Eustis Army Hospital (Virginia), VA Medical Center, and the Pennsylvania Soldiers and Sailor’s Home.

Jackie was preceded in death by her late husband, Melvin L. Wilcox, Erie Police Officer.  She is survived by her two sons Michael M. Wilcox and his wife, Cindy, of Edinboro, Matthew R. Wilcox and his wife, Susan, of Easton, PA; three grandchildren, Solomon R. Wilcox, Maya R. Wilcox, and Macy M. Wilcox; Sister, Judy D. Tymchyn of Millcreek; Niece, Jacki D. Ball of Millcreek.

A service of remembrance will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family at Burton Westlake Funeral Home at 3801 West 26^th Street, Erie, PA  16506.  Those who wish to remember Jackie in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Anna Shelter, 1555 East 10^th Street, Erie, PA  16511.
