Jacob Copeland, Sr.

Jacob Lee Copeland, Sr., age 62, of Erie, passed away at his residence on Friday, April 30, 2021.  He was born in Farmville, VA on March 20, 1959, son of Jack M. Copeland and the late Dorothy Brooks Copeland.

He graduated from high school in Virginia and served his country in the United States Army.  He worked as a brick mason.  Jacob loved to keep a smile on everyone’s face.  He shared the Bible and gave himself to the Lord.

In addition to his father, Jacob is survived by his sons, Jacob Lee Copeland, Jr. (Monique), of Philadelphia and Alex Fernandez; one daughter, Jacqueline Copeland, of Philadelphia; Five grandchildren, Alex, Jacquill, Alexis, Joshua and Justin; one great granddaughter, Lay-Loni Corbett; and former wife, Vickie Diane Copeland, of Philadelphia.. Further surviving are his brothers, Jack, John and Charles Copeland and his sisters, Laurie Johnson and Anna Spry, along several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
