Hunter James Tenney, age 15, of Lake City, passed away at home, Thursday, April 10, 2014 surrounded by his family.
He was born in Erie on July 25, 1998, the son of Darren and Susan Shaw Tenney.
Hunter loved the outdoors and was lovingly referred to as a “professional camper” by his family. He enjoyed visiting Walt Disney World, listening to music, and swimming. Hunter was deeply loved by his doting brothers and sister.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers: Parker, Skyler and Ryder, and sister Emma; grandparents: Joan Shaw of Erie, Arthur Shaw of Grove City, Frances Cerrona and her husband William and Herbert Tenney, all of Erie ; his aunt, Cathie Fohner and her husband Matthew of Lake City; uncles: John Shaw and his wife Conni of Volant, and Brian Tenney and his wife Annemarie of Erie, as well as many cousins; and of course his beloved dog, Baloo.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East in Girard on Sunday, from 3-6p.m., Monday, 2-4p.m., and 6-8p.m. with a funeral service on Tuesday at 11am in the All Faith Chapel.
