Herman Pude

Herman J. Pude, age 70, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday June 14, 2017 at UPMC Hamot.  He was born in Erie on January 14, 1947 to the late Herman C. Pude and Margaret Pude Caserta.

Herm graduated from East High School and began a long trucking career.  He loved trucking.  The highlight of his career was being an owner/operator of Herm Pude and Son Trucking where he spent over 15 years working with his son and grandson.   Their favorite route was over Donner’s Pass in California.   He enjoyed his trips to McDonalds with Gizmo for burgers and fries and liked to gamble at Presque Isle Downs or on the Pennsylvania Lottery.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Lewicki Pude.

He is survived by his son Herman E. (Beth) Pude; grandchildren Kayla Ann and PJ (Lauren) Pude; great grandchildren Renee and Zachary Pude and his look alike dog Gizmo.  He is further survived by his four siblings: Darlene Pude-Crawford, David Pude, Jimmy (Rhonda) Pude, and Alice (Tom) Goss and several nieces and nephews.
