Henry Brooks

July 19, 1936 — December 8, 2012

Henry "Hank" E. Brooks, age 76, of Fairview, PA passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on December 8, 2012, to go home and be with his Savior.

He was born on July 19, 1936 in Bloomfield Township, Crawford County to the late Avery and Elsie Stafford Brooks.

He served in the US Army at the age of 27. He worked for Ervite Corporation for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Sterrettania Alliance Church in McKean, PA. He was a co-founder of Layman Ministries with his friend Jim Mallory. Hank enjoyed hunting, yard work, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Walter Brooks, a sister Josie Parkin, a son Tony Brooks, a grandson Daryl Nunemaker, Jr. and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

He is survived by his wife Linda, whom he married December 31, 1985, four daughters and two sons, Dennis Brooks and fiancée Jennifer of Union City, Pam Nunemaker and friend Troy who reside in the family homestead in Union City; Jodi Miller and husband Glenn of East Springfield, PA; Laura Ahrens of Fairview, PA, Cindy Foster of Erie, PA.;

and Robert Brooks and his wife Vicky of Corry, PA. Eighteen grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and are invited to attend services there on Wednesday at 10 am with Pastor Mark Droll officiating.

Burial will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery with full military honors.
