Helen White

Helen Scott White, age 86, formerly of Albion, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2017 in Copperas Cove, Texas.

She was born in Platea on April 4, 1930, a daughter of the late Forest and Alice Marie Baldwin Scott Gustafson.

Helen was a member of the Federated Church in East Springfield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” R. White, a brother, Raymond and a daughter in law, Patty White.

Helen is survived by two sons, Robert White of Lake Frederick, VA., and David White and his wife Terry of Albion; a daughter, Susan Creech and her husband Don of Kempner, TX; a step brother, Martin Gustafson and his wife Huong of Somerville, TX. She is further survived by seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Private funeral arrangements were entrusted to Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard. Burial will be in Girard Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring at a date and time to be determined.
