Helen Wedzik

Helen Wedzik, age 83, formerly of Lake City, passed away, Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Health South Rehab.

She was born in Mill Village, on January 3, 1932, a daughter of the late Glen and Marie Gable Whitney.

Helen worked at General Electric for many years and retired from there in 1991.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter George Wedzik; brothers: Raymond and Charles Whitney; and a sister, Isabell Whitney

She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Brewster and her husband Rick Wilson of Girard and Mary Vorse Dombrowski and her husband, Dean of Springfield; granddaughters, Kara Wilson of Girard and Aliesha Dombrowski Plough and her husband Rick of Ohio; grandson, Tim Wedzik and his wife Jessica of Hemet, California; great grandsons: Sebastine,Anthony and Seth. She is further survived by a sister, Mae Brown of Union City; a brother, John Whitney and his wife Kathy of Washington; sister in law, Dody Wedzik Finch of Harborcreek; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East in Girard, on Saturday from Noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Girard Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to www.Burtonfuneralhomes.com.
