Helen L. (Wilcox) Taylor, age 85, of Fairview, passed away Sunday April 1, 2018 at Pleasant Ridge Manor.
She was born in Waterford, on June 27, 1932, a daughter of the late Gary and Pearl Hewitt Wilcox.
Helen graduated from Waterford Academy. She worked for 28 years in the cafeteria for the Fairview School District, retiring in 1987. Helen enjoyed watching birds, cooking and gardening. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and would do anything for them. Helen was a long time member of the Fairview United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Taylor in 2006; brothers, Glennard and Blaine Wilcox; sisters, Pauline Jenkins and Vivian Rose and her step daughter, Karen Taylor.
Helen is survived by her children, Faythe Chevalier and her husband Dennis of Erie and Brett Taylor and his wife Tracey Hallman of Cleveland Heights, OH; grandchildren: Madelyn, Walter, Claire, Charles and Robert Chevalier and Lyvia and Graham Hallman Taylor; and a brother, Ed Wilcox and his wife Norma of Fredonia, PA. She is further survived by step children, Barbara Mathis and her husband Roger and Alan Taylor and his wife Darci; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard on Thursday from 3-7 pm and are invited to attend a service there on Friday at 11 am with Pastor Jay Searcy officiating.
Burial at Fairview Cemetery.
