Helen Pacansky

Helen Wilson Pacansky, age 79, of Girard, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016 at UPMC Hospital.

She was born in Lake City, on May 4, 1937, a daughter of the late Emanuel and Thelma Case Wilson.

Helen was a member of the Russian Orthodox Church in Pageville, PA. She loved to sing and play guitar. Family was the world to her - especially her grandchildren. Helen loved her family and friends and was loved in return.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob “Jack” Pacansky (1998); a son, Mark Pacansky (2011), grandson, Jacob Pacansky (2013); and great granddaughter, Emily Eger (2015); as well three brothers: Albert “Stub”, Harry and Arthur; and four sisters: Joyce, Donna, Ester Jean and Evelyn.

Helen is survived by her children: Ronald Pacansky and his wife, Sheri, and Julia Edwards (Matthew), both of Girard; a daughter in law, Lisa Pacansky (Tim) of Fairview; two sisters, Jeanette Mikovich of Springboro and Arlene Beam of Girard. She is further survived by seven grandchildren: Jenni Eger and her husband Ryan, Alexander, Timothy and Danielle Pacansky, Eric, James and Carrie Edwards; and two great grandchildren, Aubrey Eger and Carter Javens; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8pm and are invited to attend a service there on Tuesday at 10 am.

Burial will be at Girard Cemetery.
