Helen M. (Scriven) (Narby) DeGeorge, age 94, of Erie, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Elmwood Gardens.
She was born on June 26, 1920 daughter of the late Albert and Mabel Hudson Scriven.
Helen had worked at Eckerd Drugs, and was also a former “Elevator Girl” at the Boston Store.
She was preceded in death by a son, John Thomas Narby, Jr., her first husband John Narby and her second husband Joseph DeGeorge; brothers: Robert, Jack, Richard and William Scriven, and sisters: Jane Krull and Sally Hites.
Survivors include granddaughters: Lynne Narby Gotham, husband Scott; and Jennifer Narby Cappeto, husband Paul, and one grandson Kevin Narby. Her daughter-in-law Anne Narby, five great grandchildren: Nicholas and Zachary Porter, and Megan, Shannon, and Patrick Gotham, several nieces and nephews and special friends Pat and Lee Weidner also survive.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street, on Tuesday from 6 pm until the time of a prayer service at 7 pm.
Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
