Helen Bostaph, age 90, of Summit, PA passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at her residence.
She was born in Clarks Mills, PA on September 18, 1928 one of 13 children of the late Clarence and Nancy Voorhies Lawyer.
Helen graduated from Dorset High School and then went on to earn her Cosmetology License. She worked at Perry Plastics and Comtech for over 40 years.
She was very strong minded and was also very quiet. She was always there for her family and never missed any events. Helen loved music and dancing. She also enjoyed reading and liked doing puzzles. She was also a volunteer at St. Vincent Hospital as a transport.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Bostaph and a son, Leonard, and a granddaughter, Magen Porter.
Helen is survived by her children Nancy (Jim) Miller, Nancy Bostaph, Tom (Carol) Bostaph, and Stephen (Melinda) Bostaph. She is further survived by eight grandchildren, John Bostaph, Laura (Jeff) Slagle, Andrew (Jena) Miller, Stacey (Ben) Miller, Andrew (Marie) Bostaph, Bethany (Jeff) Natale, Timothy (Jenn) Bostaph and Jessica (Patrick) Treiber. She is further survived by nine great-grandchildren, a sister, Dorothy Smith and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, (at Powell Avenue,) on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 and are invited to attend a service there on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
