Hazel Ester Giles

Hazel Ester Giles, age 71, of Erie, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024 at UPMC Hamot Hospital. She was born in Rochester, PA, November 4, 1952 to the late Raymond and Mary Johnston Kosto. 

Hazel loved to spend time with family and friends. She enjoyed going to the casino with her daughter and/ or sisters, watching paranormal activity shows, playing sudoku, and lastly, enjoying a good cup of tea. 

In addition to her parents, Hazel is preceded in death by her husband, David Giles, her brother Robert “Butch” Kosto, and her nephew Donald Kermiet. 

She is survived by her daughter, Billie Ann Pamula (Jason), by her stepson Jim Giles, and by her grandchildren Brittany Hall, Cody Pamula, and Alexis Pamula. Hazel is further survived by her siblings, Raymond “Spike” Kosto (Rose), Mary Ann Musloe, Donna Holzhauser (Dale), Helen Tate, and her three great grandchildren, Aiden, Carter, and Cooper Hall.
