Harvey Nelsen, Jr.

Harvey P. Nelsen, Jr., age 81, of Millcreek, passed away at his residence on Monday December 10, 2018.

Harvey was born in Erie on April 23, 1937, son of the late Harvey P. and Agnes C. Rooney Nelsen, Sr. Harvey graduated from Academy High School and was employed at Hammermill Paper for over 42 years.

He was an avid hunter who enjoyed going to bird dog trials. He also enjoyed  fishing, boating, grilling and gardening. He loved going to the casino, instant lottery tickets and had an extensive Hot Wheels Car collection.

The most important part of Harvey’s life was his family, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Elaine E. Nelsen (in January of this year) and a brother John Nelsen.

Harvey is survived by three daughters;  Kimberly  Ann Quirk and her husband Dan of Erie; Karen Ann Hrinko and her husband Brian of Girard and Kathryn Musich and her husband Tod of Girard. He is further survived by five grandchildren; Scott and his wife Christina, Matthew, Trista, Ryan and Karlie and two great grandchildren William and Ava.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 until the time of the service at 6:00 pm with the Rev. Harry Johns officiating.

Burial will be private at Laurel Hill.
