Harriet Sawdey

Harriet Lee Sawdey, age 92, died January 31, 2013 at Independence Court. Born in Erie PA she was the daughter of the late Harry L. and Laura Walling Sawdey.

Harriet was an occupational therapist at the Erie and Long Beach, CA VA Medical Centers. She returned to Erie in 1995. Harriet is a member of First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her sister Esther Lennertz and many nieces and nephews. Harriet was preceded in death by her sisters Jane McCarthy, Grace Sawdey and Anne Coyle.

Private burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Arrangements being made by Burton Funeral Home, 602 West Tenth, Erie, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Northwestern PA, 2407 Zimmerly Rd., Erie, PA 16506.
