Harold Himes

June 7, 1942 — February 24, 2013

Harold "Chick" Himes Sr., age 70, of Millcreek died Sunday, February 24, 2013 at UPMC Hamot after a lengthy illness.

He was born June 7, 1942 in Erie, son of the late Helen Jaroski of Erie.

He was a New York Giant and WWE fan. He enjoyed playing poker, scratch-off tickets, shooting pool, and spending time with his loving wife and family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son David Himes; two sisters: Alice Mae Lehman and Connie Hilliard; and a brother Stanley Himes.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his soulmate of 49 years, Barbara Himes; his childrem: Harold "Chicky" Himes (Jan); Paula Himes Tompkins(Tim Sr.); Tim "TT" Himes; Lenny "LJ" Himes (Marlo); his grandchildren: Crystal (Jose'), Tim Jr. (Sue), David, Christian, Katryna, Justin, Sarah, Joshua, Tim"TT", Aalysa, Dylan, Kyle, and Danyelle ( Dustin); and many great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters: Judy Thompson (Billy) and Cindy Corley (Edward); a brother Joseph Biondi (Diane); a godson John Himes, a best friend of many years Gene Granger and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th St. at (Powell Ave.) on Wednesday from 2-4 and from 6pm until the time service at 8pm.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
