Harold Richard “Bud” Felix age 94, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital.
He was born on June 21, 1930, in a farmhouse on Route 19 in Summit Township. He is a son of the late Berhard and Margaret Bayer Felix.
Bud was a 1948 graduate of Academy High School and went on to serve in the United States Army from 1948 to 1949.
He worked as a Manufacturing Supervisor at Modern Industries, Erie Technological Products and Assembly Machines Incorporated.
Bud was an avid woodworker who especially enjoyed making wooden toys. He was a general handyman who could repair just about anything. He along with his wife Eleanor, spent many winters in Arcadia, FL working in school classrooms with the children of migrant workers and in the Catholic Charities after School Program.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Reva Yaple Felix and their infant son; his siblings and their spouses, Joe Felix (Kay), Agatha Menzel (Jim), Donald Felix, Jean O’Hara (Dick), Lois Royer (Bob), Margaret Szoszorek (Sonny), Doris Cessna (Glenn), Carol Kosobucki (Bob), and Mary Faith Wilson (Jim); his step-son, Tim Kindle and his grandson, Steven Brown.
He is survived by his six daughters with his first wife Reva who he was all especially proud of for standing by him through his trials and tribulations,: Susan Felix (Robert Bednark), Pam Verga (Jim), Barb Brown (Paul), Julie Miller (Jerry), Sally Rosenthal (Norm) and Penny Benson; two stepchildren, Vicky Lampe (Chris) and David Kindle; 22 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were handled by the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
