Grant E. Sheriff age 66 of Millcreek, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at his residence.
He was born in Meadville, PA on April 29, 1947 son of the late Clarence L. and Mary Lucille Sheriff. Grant was a Veteran of the U. S. Navy.
He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church, the Elks Lodge #67 and the Siebenbuerger Club. Grant was a mechanic who enjoyed, building, racing and working on cars and motorcycles. He retired after 18 years from PHB as a maintenance supervisor.
In addition to his parents, Grant was preceded in death by a brother Gary Sheriff and his father-in-law Richard Kindle.
He is survived by his wife Tammy Sheriff of Millcreek; three children, Ross and his wife Stephanie, Sarah and Rebecca Sheriff and two granddaughters, Annamarie and Shelby Sheriff. He is also survived by several brother and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2:00 until 5:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 pm at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave.) and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church, 2401 W. 38th Street, with Fr. Ted Marconi celebrant.
Burial will be private in Gate of Heaven Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street, Erie, Pa 16506.
