Gordon G. Wiley, age 75, of Fairview passed away Thursday April 5, 2018 at St. Vincent Health Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was born August 18, 1942 in Erie, a son of the late Robert G. and Winifred Taylor Wiley.
Gordon attended Girard Union High School. And was a plasterer with Union Local 6. He was a member of the Lake Erie Lodge 347 F. & A.M. for 35 years where he served as “Tyler” of the lodge for over 30 years and the Zem Zem Temple Shrine. He enjoyed gardening, birdwatching and going for car rides with Sue. His family was very important to him and he loved spending time with them.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Susan Pohman Wiley, whom he married December 23, 1961; his daughters, Bonnie Marie Harvey and her husband Bill and Theresa S. Bemis and her husband Ronald, all of Girard; two sons, Gordon R. Wiley and his wife Melissa of Albion and Edward J. Wiley of Girard; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He is further survived by his sister, Rebecca Porter and her husband, Floyd of North Kingsville, OH.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm including a Masonic Service at 6pm; and further calling Monday from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am followed by burial at Fairview Cemetery.
