Golda Peters Chase, age 90, of Erie, died Sunday, June 15, 2014 at St. Mary’s East.
Born in Mill Village, on August 8, 1923, the daughter of the late Harland and Mildred William Peters.
Mrs. Chase was employed at St. Mary’s Home as a housekeeper for nine years, retiring in 1985.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Row Chase in 1973; a son, Robert Row Chase, brothers, Cecil Peters and Frank Peters both of Erie; Gerald Peters of Phoenix, AZ and a sister, Betty Lou Bukoski.
Golda is survived by two sons, Ronald Chase, of Phoenix, AZ, and Phillip Chase, of Erie; three daughters: Mrs. Blaine (Rosemarie) Dobson, of McKean, PA, and Mrs. John (Shirley) Beausoleil of Newport, RI, and Mrs. Joseph (Janice) Beausoleil, of Erie; fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Her greatest joys were the times spent with all of her many grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Road, on Thursday June 19th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a service on Friday at the funeral home’s All Faith’s Chapel at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Jim Eaton officiating. Burial will follow at Erie County Memorial Gardens.
