Gloria Shiley

Gloria Shiley, age 75, formerly of Albion, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Pleasant Ridge Manor.

She was born in Erie on July 22, 1942, a daughter of the late William and Vera Devies Butler.

Gloria graduated from Albion High School.  She worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Pleasant Ridge Manor for over 20 years. 

She was a great mom and homemaker.  Gloria loved to play Bingo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce K. Shiley, whom she married September 2, 1960; and an infant son.

Gloria is survived by her daughter, Julie M. Takach and her husband, John of West Springfield and her son, Michael J. Shiley; five grandchildren: Stephanie, Matt, Megan, Amanda and Melissa; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.  She is further survived by a brother, Harold Butler and a sister, Joyce Beery as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, Girard, Friday October 27^th from 3-7 pm and on Saturday from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am.

Burial will be at Springfield Cemetery.
