Gladys Tompkins

Gladys Tompkins, age 91, of Fairview, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 at Fairview Manor.

 She was born in Erie, the daughter of the late William and Edna Mae Kennedy Reck.

 Gladys graduated from East High School. 

 She lived life to the fullest.  Gladys was very outgoing, loved telling jokes and putting smiles on people’s faces.  She will be remembered by her family as a “social butterfly”.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Bruce, Richard, Gordon and Ralph; and three sisters, Viola, Dorothy and Elvera.

 Gladys is survived by her niece Sandra Woodley and her husband, Bryan of Lake City, as well as several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

 Private funeral arrangements were entrusted to Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard.

 Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
