Gladys Swartz

Gladys F. Swartz, age 91, of Erie, died on Thursday July 16, 2015 at the Regency at South Shore. She was born in Erie, the daughter of the late Ralph and Alice Fleming.

Gladys graduated from Academy High School, Class of 1942, and Allegheny College. She worked as an executive secretary in the legal and banking industries and retired from Marine Bank in the late 1980’s. She was a member of the Church of the Cross. Gladys enjoyed playing bridge for decades and was an avid gardener.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank C. Swartz and sisters Virginia Fish and Shirley Talmadge.

Gladys is survived by her daughter Adarsh Khalsa and her husband Kartar of Phoenix, AZ and her son Craig Swartz and his wife Heidi of Denver, CO; her grandchildren Arjan Khalsa of Portland, OR, Lisa Swartz, and Jason Swartz, both of Denver, CO. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to a memorial service on Monday July 20, 2015 at 10:30am at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 W. 10th St., Erie, PA 16502 with Rev. James Rimmer officiating.
