Gertrude Martin

Gertrude Martin, age 99, of Erie, died on Thursday November 12, 2020 at LECOM at Village Square.  She was born in Erie on June 18, 1921, one of eleven children of the late Joseph and Anna Blair.

Gertrude was a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church.     She was a kind and giving soul.  She loved to gamble and was a great cook.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leslie Martin, and 8 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children: Joyce (Clarence) Titus of Richmond, IN, David Martin of New Palestine, IN, and Helen Hicks of Las Vegas, NV and grandchildren Cheryl Bane, Randy Bane, Tammy Osman, Virginia Burke, Dawn Cooper, and Erica Benivedes.  She is further survived by several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her brother Michael Blair and her sister Anna Mae (Dick) Meyn.

Services were private.  Inurnment in Earlham Cemetery, Richmond, IN.
