Gerard Kinner Hall loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 81 on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at UPMC Hamot, Erie, Pa.
Gerard also known to loved ones as Jerry or Kinner was born on January 8, 1937 in Drift,
Kentucky. He moved to Johnstown as a young man and that is where he met his wife of 58
years. The couple relocated to Erie and raised their family. He was a hardworking and loyal employee of Keystone Foundry for 40 years. He was a member of the United Steel Worker Local 3199.
Kinner had a passion for fishing and golfing. He loved car races. The most memorable times
were spent playing with his Grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He enjoyed time with his family and loved to travel. He was known for his quick wit, his ability to find use in anything, his advice and his loving spirit.
Gerard was preceded in death by his father, Wilburn Hall Sr., and his mother, Flurinda
Hall-Tackett, brothers, Wilburn Hall Jr, Raymond Hall, Elmer Hall, Danny F. Tackett, Malcolm R.
Tackett, sisters, Shirley Hall-Browning, Ruby Hall-Bates, Son, Kenneth Hall, Granddaughter,
Lindsey Michalski and daughter-in-law, Melanie Hall.
He is survived by his wife Martha, his children; Craig Hall Sr. (Patricia), Crystal Hall-Michalski (Christopher), LeRoy Hall Sr.; his brother, Zenith Hall; his sister, Willene Hall; grandchildren, Craig Hall Jr., William Watkins, Danielle Hall, LeRoy Hall Jr., Carl Hall, Kyle Michalski, Matthew Hall; ten great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces,
and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, (at Powell Ave.) on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Gale Thornton officiating.
Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
