Geraldine Tate

Geraldine Tate, age 58 of Erie, died Saturday December 14, 2013 at Village at Luther Square.

She was born in Erie, Pa. on February 27, 1955, a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Louise Tate.

Geraldine attended East High School. She was devoted to her family, loved cooking, and enjoyed music, dancing and fun.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Cozzett Tate, a brother Jerry Tate, and a sister Ethel Mae Twillie.

Survivors include her long time love of 34 years James Knight; two daughters Denise Tate of Erie and Stacia Tate-Crawford and her husband Christopher of Charlotte, NC; stepchildren James Knight, Jr. and Ieshia Knight of Erie; grandchildren: Paul Pulliam, Jr. and Derasia Edwards of Erie; Kevin Jones, Jr. of Columbus, Ohio, Jaiden Tate of Charlotte, NC; Samuel Wilson of Erie and Cameron Crawford of Charlotte; six siblings: Alphonso Tate “Ramona”, Frankie Tate, Edie Pearl Tate, Robert Earl Tate, all of Erie; Inez Tate of Buffalo, NY and Adam Tate of Erie. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive. Services were private at the convenience of the family and under the care of Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street, Erie PA 16502.
