Geraldine Martin

Geraldine “Gerri” Krasinski Irwin Martin, age 81, of Millcreek, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at UPMC Hamot.

She was born in Erie, PA on March 24, 1937, a daughter of the late Max and Florence (Wisinski) Krasinski.

She was a graduate of St. Benedict Academy and worked as a purchasing agent at the Warren Company for several years.  She was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Roman Catholic Church.

Gerri loved to be out and about in the Erie Community and made many special friends over the years. She loved the Erie waterfront and shopping. She was a very generous and giving person and had a wonderful sense of humor. Gerri was known for her extensive collection of hats and never left home without one. She enjoyed time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. She was also an avid Penn State and Notre Dame football fan!

In addition to her parents, Geraldine is preceded in death by her spouse, Charles W. Irwin; several beloved brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews from the Irwin family.

Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Lauri A. Chessario and her husband James J. Chessario; grandchildren, Alissa R. and Joshua J. Chessario. She is further survived by brothers, Lawrence (Margaret) Krasinski and Mark (Diane) Krasinski and sisters, Jacque Macie (Edward), Betty Ann Nowakowski (Robert) and Dolores Griswold (David) along with several nieces and nephews. 

Friends are invited to call on Friday, May 25th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26^th St. (at Powell Ave) and are invited attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, May 26th at 9:30 am at St. Jude the Apostle Roman Catholic Church at 2801 West 6^th Street.

Burial will  follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
