Geraldine Clemons

Geraldine (Nickell) Clemons, age 75, of Lake City, PA, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 14, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Hazard Kentucky, September 12, 1946 to the late Woodrow and Hannah Nickell.

Geraldine loved her family and her extended church family.  She attended the Church of Jesus Christ in God as an adult after accepting the gift of salvation. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved talking on the phone with her favorite people, often giving words of encouragement and a listening ear.  Geraldine was a very accepting person, no matter where you came from, she would greet you with a selfless smile. Her goal was to love everyone as Jesus did, and she truly succeeded. She loved a good cup of coffee no matter where she was. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Wintemute (Mark), her grandchildren, Anthony Clemons, Trevor McCray (Karissa), and Ashley McCray (John). She is further survived by her great grandchildren, Oliver Rodgers, and Carson McCray, a sister, Mary Jo Stidham, a brother in law Virgil Tharp (Susan), and a sister in law Debbie Mineo (John), and several nieces and nephews including Michelle who was with her to the end.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hershell, her siblings, Patsy, Juanita, and Barbara Nickell. She is further preceded by a brother in law Bill Stidham.

Friends are invited to call on the family Monday, April 18, 2022 at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. Downtown 602 W. 10^th Street, Erie from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ in God 1706 Poplar Street, Erie at 11am. Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
