Geraldine Britton

Geraldine “Jerry” Britton of Erie, died Thursday, March 19, 2015 at home.

She was born in Pittsburgh, PA the daughter of the late Ed and Elizabeth Delaney Galloway.

Jerry was a member of the Unity in Edinboro and served as Chaplain, and Minister of the Prison Ministry, Master Mind Prayer Group and Healing Group. She was also an actress, singer and songwriter and loved bringing entertainment to family and friends. If you had the honor of knowing her, you knew you were in the presence of strength. Up until the time she passed, she performed in countless plays and provided spiritual guidance and volunteerism to those in need. Her good work is nowhere near finished and we wish her love on her new journey.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Donna Britton of Balitmore, MD; son, Donald Paul Britton of Deleware, OH; son, David Ramond Britton and wife Linda Amos-Britton of Erie and daughter, Cherylann Britton-Carter also of Erie.

She is further survived by six grandchildren Andrew, Aaron, Ashley and Shanae Britton, Martineque Carter and Tara Pullium Carson along with five great grandchildren.

Services were private at the convenience of the family and provided by Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West Tenth Street, Erie, Pa. 16502.
