Gerald Flick

Gerald W. “Gerry” Flick, age78, of Girard, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital.

He was born in Fairview, PA on July 26, 1943, a son of the late Wilbur and Vera Oliver Flick.

He graduated from Fairview High School.  He went on to serve in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1962 to 1965. Gerald worked at American Sterilizer and retired in 2010 after 42 years of service.  He was a major NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Flick.

Gerald is survived by his wife Dianne L. Strain Flick, a daughter, Kimberly Bayhurst (Kevin) of Erie, PA, a son Jon P. Flick (Sharon) of Wales, Wis., a grandson, Adam Bayhurst of Erie, PA, a sister, Diane Risch of Winter Park, FL, two nieces and a nephew.

A reception of friends will be held at Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, Girard, on Friday, February 25^th, 2022 from 10 a.m. until the time of Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. with Deacon Chuck Adamczyk officiating.  Full military honors will be conducted by the Girard American Legion Post 494.
