George Sloan

George F. Sloan, age 91, of Willow Glen, Erie, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015.

He was born in Linesville, PA on October 25, 1923 son of the late Perry and Nellie Sloan.

He was a 1949 graduate of Allegheny College.

He served in the Army Air Corp from 1943-1945. He worked in the insurance industry for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy 2009; a brother, Howard R. Sloan and his wife Vivian, and a sister Helen Sloan.

Survivors include a daughter Barbara Busho her husband Craig, and one granddaughter Susanna of Murfreesboro, TN. He is further survived by nieces Karen Sloan and Christy Koontz, both of Erie. He is deeply loved by all of us, and we are glad he is with the Lord.

Friends may call at Burton West Lake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon.

Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
