George Sabol

George A. Sabol, age 91, of Fairview, PA passed away Monday, October 3, 2022 at UPMC Hamot Hospital. He was born in Cranesville, PA, on the family farm, June 26, 1931 to the late John and Anna Galuska Sabol.

In his younger years, he served as trustee of his church, enjoyed gardening and golf. George was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving 6 years in the Naval Construction Battalion Seabees, he was a service repairman of medical equipment for the American Sterilizer Company for 37 years until his retirement. George was a member of the Buick Club of America.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruth Serb Sabol, his children, Brenda Sabol Strawn (John Innocenzi), Andrew Sabol (Amy), and David Sabol (Lumi). He is further survived by his grandchildren, Brent Strawn (Erina), Eric Strawn (Alissa), Jennifer Abrams (Jacob), Andrea Middaugh (Matthew), Elizabeth Sabol, and Abbey Sabol. He is survived by his great grandchildren, Brooklynn Abrams, Elliott Abrams, Kayleigh Abrams, Grace Middaugh, and Brayden Banko, as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his siblings, Andrew Sabol, Martin Sabol, Marion Sabol Cahill, Emily Sabol Maxson, and Anne Sabol.

Friends are invited to call on the family Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. West Ridge, 3801 W. 26^th Street, Erie. Burial will follow in Albion Cemetery.
