George A. Moles Jr., age 68, of Millcreek, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at his home. He was born in Erie on November 19, 1949 to the late George Moles Sr. and Norma V. Turnwall Moles.
George graduated from McDowell High School in 1967. He joined the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam. He worked as an Electrical Engineer and retired from Carlisle Engineered Products. George loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially doing projects with his grandson, George IV. He also enjoyed airplanes and listening to music, one of his favorite musicians being Yani.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Moles, and his sister, Georgiann Tressler.
George is survived by his beloved wife, Mary A. Machuga-Moles, and their children, George Moles III, of Erie, and daughter, Stephanie Krayeski (Don), and a son, Matthew Machuga (Hali), and grandchildren, George Moles IV, Vaeda Machuga, and Tallulah Machuga. He is also survived by his three brothers, John R. Moles of Bedford, PA, Tom E. Moles of McKean, and Gary Moles (Rob Douglas)of Erie, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th St. (at Powell Ave.), from 2-4 and 6-8PM, and are invited to attend Funeral Services there Friday at 10AM. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers and to help homeless veterans, memorials may be made to Liberty House, 550 West 7th St., Erie, PA 16502.
