George Green

George L. Green, age 90, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Manchester Commons. He was born in Oil City, Pa on January 14, 1930, a son of the late Forry and Ethel Anthony Green Phelps. George proudly served in the US Airforce achieving the rank of Staff Sargent, being stationed in Texas, Germany and North Africa. He graduated from Gannon University and was employed with the Warren Company for 37 years. He was a member of the Zem Zem Shrine, Past Master of Tyrian Commonwealth Lodge #362, as well as a 50 year member of the Scottish Rite and Blue Lodge.

In addition to his parents Forry and Ethel, he was predeceased by his wife Louise Powers Green and step father Glen Phelps.

George is survived by his son Larry (Robin) Green of McKean, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., Downtown 602 W. 10th Street.
