George Felege

George E. Felege, age 74, of Erie, passed away at Manchester Commons on Monday, January 27th, 2014.

He was born on May 20, 1939, the son of the late George and Anna (Hrinda) Felege.

George served in the United States Army for two years. He served in the 809th Engineer Battalion in Thailand in 1962. He worked as an electronics technician at General Electric for 30 years. He was a member 0f Saints Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post #0773, Moose Lodge #66, Culbertson Hills Golf Resort (Edinboro, PA) and Seven Oaks Country Club (Beaver, PA). George was an avid golfer and enjoyed photography.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brother-in-law Fred Dexter.

He is survived by his wife Helen (Dudas, Tinko, Camp) whom he married in July 1977; his stepson, Joseph Tinko; his sisters Evelyn Dexter and Joan (James) Rutkowski, his nieces and nephews: Clark (Renee) Dexter; Susan (Bruce) Kvarta; Jim (Mary) Rutkowski, Jr.; Ann (Steve) Marx; Robbie (Ann) “Charlie” Rutkowski. George is also survived by 8 great nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home 525 Main Street, Girard, PA 16417 on Thursday, January 30th from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 4:oo p.m. with Reverend Ted Marconi officiating.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
