Geoffrey G. Garity

October 13, 1964 — August 28, 2023

Geoffrey G. Garity, age 58 of Girard, was called home to the Lord on August 28, 2023, at St. Vincent Health Center following a brief illness.

He was born in Erie on October 13, 1964, the son of Gerald “Jerry” and the late Linda Devereaux Garity.

Geoff was a 1982 graduate of Girard High School. He was part of the family business, Lake City Homes, for many years where he worked in many different aspects from drywall, driving trucks to management.

Geoff loved his Lord and Savior and looked forward to being with him.  He found peace and hope in reading the bible and had many favorite verses.  A couple of favorites were Revelation 21:5 and Psalms 37:4.

He loved his car and truck collection and also swimming and spending time in the pool.  He was a talented bowler and golfer and had obtained his pro bowler card early on in his life.  Geoff was a kind soul, had a great sense of humor and had a love for animals.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his twin sister, Gina Louise Garity.

Geoffrey is survived by his father Gerald “Jerry” Garity and his wife Marianne of Girard; his sister, Lisa Garity Carr, and her husband Buddy Carr Jr. of Lake City.  He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Services were held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements entrusted to the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. Girard.

Memorials may be made to the Anna Shelter, 1555 East 10th St. Erie Pa 16511 or to Orphan Angels, 5439 West Lake Road, Erie, PA 16505.
