Gary Skovron

Gary Michael Skovron passed away Monday, March 19, 2018, at Pleasant Ridge Manor. Gary lived fast, died relatively young, and looked good through it all.

He was truly one of a kind.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Michael Skovron and Mrs. Jean Aitken Skovron, along with a grandson, Michael Skovron Harkness.

Gary is survived by his wife, Deborah Doyle Skovron; his children, Tiffany Ann (Dan Heberle), Gary Michael II, Stacy Jean (Michael Steele), Amy Ann (Michael St. George), Michael Gregory (Jenieve Edinger); a brother, Richard Skovron (Sandra), an honorary brother, Peter Kauffman (Margaret). He is also survived by a sister, Nancy Ericson, and his grandchildren, Alexandra, Mya, Gary Michael III, Reaghan, Mia, Michael Gregory II, Freya Louise and three foster grandchildren. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews.

Gary adored his family and his countless friends. His lifelong friends Pete Kaufman and Mike English shared many infamous “Adventures” with him. The stories are epic, but not for print.

Gary’s family lovingly thanks the staff of Unit H at Pleasant Ridge Manor for their kindness, care, and patience they have shown in the last three years. Those of you who had an extra special relationship with him, you know who you are, and we love you as much as he did.

Friends, family, and colleagues may say good-bye to Gary at the Quinn Funeral Home, West 9^th & Liberty St. on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and are invited to attend Funeral Services there on Friday at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Pleasant Ridge Manor Unit H, or to the PA Soldiers & Sailors Home.
