Gary W. Nightway age 76 of Millcreek passed away Friday, June 24, 2022 at his residence.
He was born in Pittsburgh, on March 20, 1946 a son of the late William Charles and Rita Felbauer Nightway.
Gary was a 1964 graduate of Johnsonburg High School and went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1970.
He worked for Eriez Manufacturing for over 40 years as a machinist and foreman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. He loved his family and going to the grandchildren’s sporting events. He was an avid weight lifter his whole life.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Judy Adams.
Gary is survived by his wife of 50 years Sally Franz Nightway; his children: Christopher S. Nightway and his wife Kriss, of Lake Wylie, SC; Tracey Beveridge and her husband Terry, of Erie; Bill Nightway and his wife Traci, of Clemons, NC; Amanda Reilly and her husband Tom, of Dudley, MA; seven grandchildren: Chelsey, Breanna, Ashlyn, Rayna, Brooke, Sam, and Charleigh; a great granddaughter Vivian; a stepmother Verna Nightway, of Johnsonburg; three stepsisters: Debbie Zuroski and her husband Mike, of Wilcox, PA; Becky Angello and her husband Fran, of Kirkwood, NY; and Judy Lemieux and her husband Robert, of Maylene, AL; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services West Ridge, 3801 West 26th St. Erie on Sunday July 3rd from 2 until the time of Military Honors at 4pm.
