Frederick Sharp, Sr.

Frederick Sharp, Sr., age 73 of Erie, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born in Erie October 1, 1944, a son of the late Frederick S. Sharp, Sr., and Flossie Crider Sharp.

Frederick served as a proud Marine during the Vietnam War. He was a welder for many years.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, and talking mess.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Maeola Sharp Caroll, Joyce Battle, Margie Marshall, Bonnie Strickland, and Julius Edwards.

Survivors include his children Fred Sharp, II, and Gail Sharp; his sister Sonya Johnson; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, July 14^th from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10^th Street, with Reverend Lamont Higginbottom presiding.
