Franklin K. Kenny, age 92, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025 at LECOM Senior Living Center.

He was born in Erie, PA and was the son of the late Franklin M. and Thelma O. (Filigar) Kenny.

Frank attended Harding School and was a proud graduate of Strong Vincent High School in 1950. After graduating he served in the Army, and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. After his service, he worked at National Fuel for 32 years, where he held various positions from meter reader up to Crew Chief.

Upon his retirement, he would go on to be an interictal part of the grounds crew at the Kahkwa Club. Here he would spend his early mornings doing what he loved, mowing the fairways, and spending his time perfecting an already gorgeous golf course, where he was able to golf most Mondays. He now will be able to play on the greatest course in Heaven.

In addition to his love of golf, Frank was an avid hunter and fisherman. Frank played baseball in high school, softball in the Industrial and City Rec Leagues, and then managed the PNA Club team for a number of years.

Frank was a devout family man, as he and the love of his life Wilma, were married for a remarkable 73 years. Their love was a special one, one that most people could only dream about. To be together for that many years, sharing all of life’s moments, and all of the ups and downs, is one that neither of them will ever forget. Their son, Jeff, is the result of that shared love together.

Frank is survived by his loving wife Wilma (Rice) Kenny, their son Jeffery F. Kenny (wife Felicia), grandchildren, Jeffery T. Kenny (wife Kayla), Jennifer Kenny (fiancé Michael Kuligowski), and two loving great-grandsons, Luca and Lorenzo Kenny. Frank always lit up when he saw those boys. He is further survived by his sister Autumn (Kenny) Zeigler, sister in law, Jean (Barbour) Kenny, and many loved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his two brothers Stanford M. and Robert B. Kenny.
