Francis Marchal

Francis Vital Marchal, 75, of Millcreek, passed away on Friday January 9, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Namur, Belgium on July 1, 1939, son of the late Jean and Helene Neuville Marchal.

He was a Prep graduate and received an engineering degree from Penn State University. He worked many years at Autoclave Engineers and developed several patents.

Preceding him in death was his mother Helene Neuville Marchal, father Jean Marchal, and sister Janine Louise Marchal Florek.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years Shirley A. Marchal; four children Scott F. Marchal and his wife Maryanne Wagner of Indianapolis, IN; Guy A. Marchal and his wife Marie of Tucson, AZ; Beth A. Marchal and her husband Tedd Hoffman of Pittsburgh, PA; and Christian T. Marchal of Erie, PA.

Futher survivors include two grandsons, Adam F. Hoffman and Aiden C. Hoffman both of Pittsburgh, PA; a brother Andre Marchal of Erie, PA and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there at 6 p.m.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
