Frances Stefurak

Frances E. Stefurak, age 102 of Fairview, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 15, 2017, surrounded by her family at Manchester Commons Senior Living.

She was born in Pittsburgh on April 20, 1915, a daughter of the late George and Frances Landstorfer Eibeck.

Frances was a homemaker most of her life and had worked as a receptionist at Hess Brother Optical for over 10 years.

She was a member of Holy Cross Church in Fairview where she served on many committees.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Stefurak; and a brother, Carl Eibeck.

Frances is survived by her loving friend and companion, Mary Ann Kunz; by her children, Louis Stefurak and his wife Nancy of Greensboro, GA, Georgiana M. Kunz of Erie, Richard C. Stefurak and his wife Diane of Pittsburgh and Emily Ann Longo and her husband, Jerry of Erie;   two sisters, Sister Wilma Eibeck O.S.F and Grace Streyle and her husband Albert, and a sister in law, Eileen Eibeck, all of Pittsburgh; She was grandma to 20 grandchildren; GiGi to 29 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Holy Cross Church, Fairview on Wednesday from 10am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. with Rev. Thomas Tyler celebrant.

Burial at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, Girard.
