Frances Kay Piersol

Frances Kay Piersol age 84, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at St. Mary’s Asbury Ridge. 

She was born in Erie on October 14, 1939, a daughter of the late Francis and Margaret Leslie Maloney. 

Kay graduated from Villa Maria Academy and Villa Maria College.

She worked as a realtor for C.R. Weber for 30 years. 

Kay was a member of St. Jude’s Church and the Erie Yacht Club. 

She was all about boats and boating with her husband, Jim.   She especially loved spending time with her family. Frances was selfless and would always put her family first. She attended all her kids and grandkids sporting events. She enjoyed playing cards with friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Piersol, Sr. and her step-father, Emil Gorenflo. 

She is survived by her children, Michele K. Lawson and her husband Peter of Fairview, and James J. Piersol, Jr. O.D. and his wife Anne Eisert; grandchildren, Amanda and Mallory Lawson and James J. III and Matthew Piersol; a sister, Marion Nies; sister-in-law, Francine Piersol and many nieces and nephews. 

Friends may attend a funeral service at  the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26^th Street on Thursday, February 29th at 9:30am.

Burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
