Frances Regina (Swaney) Glover
Frances Regina (Swaney) Glover, 89, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at her home in Erie surrounded by her family.
Regina was born on February 15, 1925 in Albion, PA, daughter of the late J. Leroy and Mercedes (McLaughlin) Swaney. She was a graduate of Albion High School (class of 1942) and was employed in the accounting department of Rogers Brothers Corporation in Albion. She was married to John (Jack) Glover on May 5, 1951 and moved to Erie following her marriage. Jack and Regina were loving and dedicated parents to their children. Later in life, she was employed at Morris Coupling in Erie and retired from there in 1989. Regina was a devoted Catholic and active member of St. Andrew Church. She was very giving of her time – she volunteered at the Barber Center and spent countless hours caring for her grandchildren. For fun, she loved to read mystery novels and work crossword puzzles. She also loved to walk, and for many years was a member of the North Coast Striders.
In addition to her parents, Regina was preceded in death by her loving husband of 34 years, John (Jack) Francis Glover, infant son John Francis, son Damian Glover, grandson Michael Aaron Krichko, and brothers James Swaney and Edward Swaney.
Regina is survived by her children Mary Frances Glover of Walnut Creek, CA; Ellen Glover and husband Gerry Perez of North Beach, MD; Sean Glover of Erie; and Teresa Krichko of Fairview. She is also survived by six grandchildren – Jonathan Langberg, SGT. Craig Glover, Kristin Goodman, Aaron Langberg, Kaitlyn Krichko, and Brianna Coluzzi, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank her caregiver Brenda and Heartland Hospice.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home at 728 West 9th Street, Erie and are invited to attend Prayer Services there Wednesday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew Catholic Church,1116 W.7th St. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery
