Florence Zuber

Florence Zuber, age 89, of Fairview, passed away Sunday April 24, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born in McKean on October 14, 1926, a daughter of the late Samuel and Anna Salchak.

Florence worked at Fairview Evergreen Nurseries for many years in the greenhouses and had also worked at Avonia Egg Farm in Fairview. She loved her home and visiting family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew in 1998, as well as several brothers and sisters.

Florence is survived by her daughters: Judith Peterson of Fairview, Cynthia Bydlon and her husband Thomas of Harrisburg, and Debra Schuetz and her husband Thomas of Pittsburgh; and a son, Andrew Zuber of Fairview. She is further survived by seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard on Wednesday from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 am. Burial will be at Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Cemetery in Crossingville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, 25636 N. Mosiertown Rd., Edinboro, PA 16412.
