Florence Zatkoff

Florence Orloff Zatkoff, age 78, of Erie passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was born January 29, 1940 in Erie the daughter of the late John and Katherine Zuravleff Orloff.

Florence was a graduate of East High School and Hamot’s School of Nursing. She worked at Hamot Medical Center, and for many years worked as a Family Practice Nurse for Millcreek Family Practice and Summit Family Practice. Florence was an active member of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Nativity and belonged to their Ladies Auxiliary. She also volunteered at the Emmaus Soup Kitchen for many years along with Hamot Aide Society.

She is survived by her husband Harry Zatkoff; her three sons, Brian Zatkoff of Gainsville, VA; Michael Zatkoff and his wife Erin, and Jeffrey Zatkoff, all of Erie. She is the sister of Maura Chaplain of Fresno, CA and John Orloff of Erie. Florence is the grandmother of Joshua and Danielle and the great-grandmother of Miluna and Aiden, all of Gainesvill, VA.

Friends are invited to call at the Russian Orthodox Church of the Nativity, 251 E. Front St. on Sunday from 4:00 until 6:00 PM and are invited to attend Funeral Services there Monday at 8:30 AM. Burial in St. John the Divine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Great Lakes Hospice, the Emmaus Soup Kitchen, or the Church of the Nativity Endowment Fund.
