Evelyn Mozur

Evelyn J. (Dandrea) Mozur, age 92, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at UPMC Hamot after a brief illness.

She was born in Uniontown, PA on February 27, 1930, a daughter of the late James and Eva (Delagatti) Dandrea. 

Evelyn graduated from Uniontown Joint Senior High School in 1948.  She was a telephone operator with Bell Telephone, then GTE.  After marrying Richard Mozur in 1964, the couple relocated to Cocoa, FL. where she continued with Southern Bell as an operator.  They adopted their daughter, Connie in 1968.  Shortly after the death of her husband in 1978, Evelyn and Connie relocated to Erie, Pa.  She spent many years as the main receptionist at Erie Insurance until her retirement.

Evelyn enjoyed traveling, reading, playing cards and getting her hair done.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard F. Mozur, a sister, Lois Monahan, and three brothers, Duke, Jim and Pete Dandrea.

She is survived by her daughter Connie Ryan (Tim) of Cranesville, Pa; two sisters, Marie DeCarlucci and Rita Masi; and sister in law, Bonnie Dandrea, all of Erie.  She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Nightingale Nursing and Rehab Center as well as the staff at UPMC Hamot.
