Eva M. Carter age 94, of Erie, Pa passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the Village at Luther Square in Erie.
She was born in Canada on July 7, 1919 a daughter of the late Maria Martin Pelletier.
Eva was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Nashua, NH and the Walnut Creek Baptist Church here in Erie. She was very devoted to her faith.
She enjoyed reading and crafting. She was very proud to become an American Citizen and be able to vote.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill Carter.
She is survived by three daughters, Jane Hayes and her husband Calvin; Nancy Zwolenik and her husband Butch, and Carolyn Brooks ; three sons, Nicholas Carter and his wife Linda, Rick Carter and his wife Jayne, and James Carter and his wife Debbie;
19 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may attend a memorial service at Walnut Creek Baptist Church, on Monday at 10am with Rev. Fred Ayers.
