Eugene Murphy

Eugene Daniel "Gene, Danny" Murphy I, Age 69, of Erie, PA., entered the Lord's Kingdom on December 27, 2022. 

Eugene was born April 14, 1953 to Eugene B (deceased) and Norma J Murphy in Philadelphia, living most of his years in Erie, Pennsylvania. Eugene served his country for 4 years in the US Army as a Paratrooper.  

Eugene enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved telling everyone his humorous stories of them. A Pittsburgh Steelers fan with Franco Harris being his favorite player.  

Beside his father, Eugene was preceded in death by his sister Kathleen, his son Eugene Jr, his wife Sharon and his brother Michael.  

He is survived by 2 daughters, Marley and Shanea, grandsons Dekotta, Sonny & Jaxson and granddaughter Rayna. His siblings Brother Joel 1st (Ethel) of Texas, Matthew (Diane) and sister Shirley Thomas (Glenn) all of Erie, 13 nieces and nephews and 22 great nieces and nephews. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Quinn Funeral Home 728 West 9^th Street, Erie.
