Ernestine Ratcliff

Ernestine Ratcliff, age 68, of Erie passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Erie, June 15, 1955, to the late Lucius and Ernestine Simmons Glover. 

Ernestine was a nurse’s aide, and a union advocate for SEIU and ASME. She loved spending time with family and going to the casino. 

She is survived by her husband, Jonathan Ratcliff, by her children, Leoni, Antwan, Melissa, Isabella (Brian), and several grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Ernestine is further survived by her sisters, Sandra, Loudella, Lena, Donna, Mary, Martha (James), Blossie, and by her brothers, Ernest, Donald (Rose), Lucius, and Richard (Rose). She is survived by an aunt, Charity Simmons, 28 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and her close friend, Candi. 

In addition to her parents, Ernestine is preceded in death by her son, Jason, and her siblings, Robert Glover, and Estelle Simmons. 

Friends are invited to call on the family Friday, May 31, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon, at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10^th Street, Erie. Burial to follow in Lakeside Cemetery.
